Use OpenPort2 cable with Subaru CAN hookup method.

It is possible the 05DBW method is used for these, but I would have thought CAN was more likely. Give the other Subaru hookup methods a go.

If it's not CAN, you will need to connect the green test mode connectors. There may be more than one set; make sure the fans cycle when the ignition is turned on after connected the test mode connectors.

If that doesn't work, sight the ECU and perhaps even post a photo of outside and inside.

i have done many 2004-5 but this is the new shap and cannot find the green / black plug ?

Odd. If it's the new shape it should be CAN. The CAN ones I've seen haven't required the green connectors to be connected.

as when i tryed it on can it closed the program down ?
