OpenPort 2 API?

Postby Gatecrasher » Sun Dec 21, 2008 9:12 pm

Has anyone heard whether or not Colby intends to publish any kind of API or communications interface to allow 3rd parties to interface with his OpenPort 2? His ideas for the Mitsu and Subaru communities are great, but if, for instance I wanted to write something totally custom to talk to my SVT Focus via his interface, will I eventually have that capability?

OpenPort 2.0 supports the SAE J2534 standard API. For more info on the API, visit http://openecu.org/index.php?title=J2534.

That's great if I want to do an SAE standard logging or reflash protocol.

But what about proprietary protocols like SSM and MUT, or others?

The romraider logger uses SSM over J2534.
