Ok, my cable arrived today :D

It came with a copied CD containing 20MB of drivers and programs. The program provided was EOBD2novo.exe.

I'm hoping I can borrow my friend's laptop for a while tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to get a copy of my ECU downloaded.

Any tips or things I should know?

Turn off all antiviruses and so on before reading/writting.

Besides turbing off all antivirus stuff :

-Make sure you have a stable running laptop

-Make sure your car battery is good, that means it isn't half dead and 8 years old etc.

-If possible get a good battery charger on the battery or a running car with jumper cables hooked up. Disconnect any electrical radiator fans. All this is to prevent voltage drops which can kill the writing proces.

-DO NOT FLASH THE FILES YOU GOT ON THE EBAY DVD. They are 95% dangerous and bad files. There are extremely overtuned files on it that eat turbos and common rail pumps for lunch.

-Allways make a backup of the original file first and save it. If things go bad you can use this binfile to save your ecu by desoldering the chip and using an eprom writer to get the original binfile back in there.

There is more information about the european diesel tuning in my signature.

Hello

I have too a 1.5 dci scenic renault and im trying to reflash the ECU.
I have read all the posts in this topic and i do not have clear the idea:
do i need a device + odb connector + software?
or it is ok with odb connector + software like i do with the subaru ecu?

Thanks in advance and best regards
