DataLog 04 4EAT Cobb Stg2

Postby bbuckley » Tue Dec 27, 2005 3:41 pm

Hope I posted in the right location.

Please look over this log from my 2004 4EAT

Mods are:

Uppipe
Bellmouth DP with HF Cat
K&N Drop-in Filter
Cobb AP Stage2 HWG 91oct

The run was from 0 to redline in second gear

All comments are appreciated, as I do not have a clue to what this means.

How are you doing?

If you could, I would recommend logging the following parameters-

RPM
Throttle Opening
Manifold Relative Pressure
Air/Fuel Sensor #1
Engine Load
Ignition Timing
Knock Correction
Primary Wastegate Duty Cycle

From the logs, it looks like your boost levels are a little low, however, I'm not sure how the AT compares to the MT. I'd be curious to see have your ignition timing is doing.

YOu may need to adjust your wastegate actuator to hit target boost.

Please let me know if I can help

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the reply.

I will log a run tomorrow and re-post.

New Runs

Two runs, WOT from stop through 2nd gear.

Questions:

RPM does not show RPM, why?

Wastgate duty is blank?

your logs looks like mines with the exception of peak boost and injector duty cycle.. I top out the injector cycle at about 95% , and peak boost of about 16 psi.. but I get pretty nasty boost spikes during shifts.. can you do some logs during shifts? I had a couple of nasty ones after installing SAMCO hose and didn't reset the ECU, it spike upto 19psi once.. but it's all good now..

I also get a lot of -KC at the lower RPM ranges, just like yours..

I am stg 2 4eat as well, with gutted DP and MP.

see my log, my pull from 50km to 170+..

We should compare more notes, since you are the only other 4eat guy I've come across..

There are a few places where I saw timing drop- what you should look for is a nice smooth timing curve which is non-decreasing once you hit peak load (or torque).

As boost increases, timing should drop, then as boost holds constantly, your timing should gradually increase with RPMs. As boost starts to taper, timing should increase slightly more aggressively.

If you see sudden drops in the ignition timing that correllate to drops in the knock correction, that's the ECU pulling timing.

Here is a log from an '04 WRX with a downpipe and uppipe that we've tuned using the software here. I"ve had to edit a few small things manually in the hex.

There are a few small things that I'd like to round out, but it's getting there:
