New here, have a quick question on ECUFLAsh

Hi all,
Just downloaded ecuflash and ran it with tactrix cable for my 06 STI. I just used the read rom option, however, at the beginning of the process, it show it was "write flashing" couple of things, then it began to read rom. Does this mean that there was something written on my ECU? Will the dealership be able to detect it?
